Which Teams Will Participate in Worlds 2022?

From all around the world, there will be 24 teams participating in Worlds 2022. Usually, we see a team from the LCL region but in this Worlds, they won’t be able to send a representative. Europe was the best region of the last 2 years that didn’t have 4 slots so because of that, they will be able to send another team.

Here are the lists of the regions that send teams:

  • China (LPL) – 4th Seed
  • Korea (LCK) – 4th Seed
  • Europe (LEC) – 3rd and 4th Seed
  • North America (LCS) – 3rd Seed
  • Southeast Asia (PCS) – 2nd Seed
  • Vietnam (VCS) – 2nd Seed
  • Brazil (CBLOL) – 1st Seed
  • Japan (LJL) – 1st Seed
  • Latin America (LLA) – 1st Seed
  • Oceania (LCO) -1st Seed
  • Turkey (TCL) – 1st Seed

As we mentioned, there will be 24 teams in the Worlds 2022. However, not every team will have a chance to show themselves on the group stage. Before we hit the groups, 8 teams will already be eliminated. On the other hand, these seeds will start from the group stage:

  • China (LPL) – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Seeds
  • Korea (LCK) – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Seeds
  • Europe (LEC) – 1st and 2nd Seeds
  • North America (LCS) – 1st and 2nd Seeds
  • Southeast Asia (PCS) – 1st Seed
  • Vietnam (VCS) – 1st Seed

That’s all from us for today. We will analyze every team and share a detailed blog about what to expect from the Worlds 2022. For now, you can check our other blogs to see more awesome content!
